When it comes to faucet repair, Lowe’s wants to make sure you have all the parts you need to successfully complete your project. As your faucet endures use over the years, parts will naturally wear, causing leaking. If water is leaking from the faucet handles, it may be time to replace the bonnet packing. Other components, like faucet washers, faucet gaskets and O-rings, the parts that form a seal to hold water back, weaken with age and will eventually need to be replaced. Find new rubber faucet washers or gaskets to create a seal that’s as good as new. Keep in mind that faucet washer sizes are different for different faucets, so it’s a good idea to take the old washer with you to the store to ensure you find the right replacement. Or, opt for a faucet washer kit, which includes the most popular washer sizes. And remember: When replacing faucet washers, or any other part of your faucet, make sure you turn off the water supply before beginning your project.
