Shoe Moulding Profiles to Complete Your Baseboards
Thin strips of moulding at the bottom of baseboards conceal the transition between the walls and floor and add a finishing touch to the room. At Lowe’s, we carry a selection of shoe moulding profiles to complete your baseboards and bring style to your home.
Shoe moulding and quarter round are often used interchangeably, but there are subtle differences. While both are located at the bottom of baseboards, moulding that's referred to as quarter round has a very defined, quarter-circle shape. Shoe moulding, on the other hand, has a taller profile and less prominent curve. Base cap moulding is a decorative strip that goes above your baseboard.
Whether you want a classic look with traditional shoe moulding, colonial shoe moulding, traditional quarter round moulding or colonial quarter round moulding, or you’re going for an up-to-date look with modern shoe moulding, the right moulding can elevate your space and add style and sophistication to the room.
Other Popular Shoe Moulding
Most of our quarter round and shoe moulding is made of wood, but we also carry polystyrene, PVC and other materials in a wide variety of lengths. Select popular white moulding or go with an unfinished option to paint or stain in your preferred color. We also carry full round and half round moulding for various do-it-yourself projects around your home. For more information on moulding types and materials, see our Moulding Buying Guide.
