Enjoy the Convenience of a Bar Sink or Prep Sink
A bar sink or prep sink is an ideal piece in dedicated space for meal or drink preparation. They're smaller sinks designed to give you a place to wash and prep your meat, fish and vegetables. In addition, they're a useful water source to wash your hands, fill a pot or quick-rinse your dishes. Usually, these small bar sinks are installed near the main cooking areas for easy access. You can also install one in your wet bar for easy entertaining.
Stainless steel is the most common material used, with a variety of finishes and colors. Other materials such as copper and granite are also available for a more luxurious look. The faucet is either included or sold separately. Some bar sinks have one to three holes, while others are customizable to accommodate a variety of faucet configurations.
Prep sinks are either drop-in or undermount. Drop-in sinks drop straight into the countertop's opening and have a visible lip that holds them in place, making for an easy installation. Undermount sinks are mounted under the countertop and have an invisible rim underneath, making them easier to clean. Workstation kitchen sinks have a variety of mount options. Sink workstations are an integrated area that lets you put that space above your sink to work, letting you chop, dry dishes, drain and more. It turns your sink into your work area.
