waykar 6000 BTU Portable Tent Air Conditioner with 3 in 1 Compact Cooling for Camping RVs and Off Grid Shelters

Great prodict

Great for truckers . Keep the inside of my Kenworth cool all night with no issues. No more hot truck ! Runs on a 2800 watt inverter generator no problem

Was excited, No more

I was so excited for this unit, ran it in a truck camper top, but after 45 minutes, started blowing over 100 degree air (much hotter than outside). Talked to support, they want me just to run it until it does it again, but I’ve lost confidence in the product. Had my dogs in the topper, another 20 minutes and they could’ve died.

Looks nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a couple of months ago. I like the bag it comes with, and it appears to be well built. I'm hopeful that the promised replacement works as good as it looks.

Not to happy. It quit cooling I would like a replacement

Great Little AC For Camping

Took it camping a couple of times already and it works. No it will not make your tent temperature 70 lol, but it definitely drops the temp big time.

This is a must!!!!

10 stars. Can’t beat it with a stick. This thing is incredible. Used it to coool my Cuddy cabin in the dry tortugas for 3 days in the blazing middle of August. Relentless heat. Performed flawlessly. Had to cover up in the blankets all night. Don’t second guess it. Feels like great quality. Handle etc all very well built. It bounced around the ocean for 227 miles and works great. Best to drop into the hatch with the ac pipe and leave the heat exchange outside of the cabin. Was able to power it wi...

Unfortunately an underachiever

I was hopeful when I bought this but Very weak performance. This unit could not cool a two man tent in the summer. Might be good for a spring or fall trip before the temperatures reach 90 degrees. It is light weight and portable and easy to use but will not keep you cool.

Good bang for the buck

So far so good. Used it once overnight in my cot tent...nice and cold all night! Unit seems well-made for the price.

Portable Powerhouse!

We needed a compact cooling option to supplement the mini split in our 40ft bus during a heatwave in SC. This portable a/c is a beast! It kept the front about 15 degrees cooler than before (huge difference), and the fan and dehumidifier modes were an awesome bonus! We were able to plug it right in to our 120v house receptacle and it’s max pull was 590 watts; awesome for an off-grid cooling option at 6000BTU!

Disappointing Cooling Performance for 6000 BTU

I’m disappointed with the performance of this air conditioner. It is advertised as 6,000 BTU, but in real-world use it does not feel anywhere close to that capacity. I tested it inside a vehicle, and during the daytime it was simply unable to cool the interior effectively. It performs somewhat better in the evening when the outside temperature drops, but during a hot day it struggles significantly. Another issue is the power consumption. Mine draws around 700W while running, which is very high ...
