It was actually easy to put together, you just need basic carpentry skills and a helping hand. It took about 4 and a half hours putting it all together on the floor before lifting it up to mount get everything the way you want it (straight stair case or curve) Notable: Very steep

Alternate to access a cabin loft

I build small vacation homes in south central Utah at Panguitch Lake. In previous homes we have used spiral stairs to access lofts, but when I saw this unit on line I was intrigued with the whole look and functionality. We installed the unit in an afternoon. It wasn't easy, but easier than a spiral stair. It's a nice look and great for the kids to have access to the loft which is nearing completion awaiting the railing wall and carpet install.

Great, beautiful product but skills required

Product is a great solution for a modern loft staircase but make no mistake this is not a project for beginners. Two reasonably strong people with decent DIY/adaptive skills are required. Skill level is way above IKEA advanced. Instructions are barely adequate. Rethreading is required for most if not all metal taps (60!) and this is obviously known because the threading tool is included (but not referenced in the instructions). Stairs

My husband and I purchases these stairs about 2 weeks ago and had them installed, to our surprise the sturdiness and how deep the treads are. Only problem that we had was we want are that the hand rails, which only goes on one side of the stairs and we hope to be able to purchase a second hand rail for safety.
