A natural light blonde to medium tan heartwood, sometimes with medium brown streaks and sapwood that is not distinct from heartwood
Apply wood sealer to the top, bottom, and all edges of raw wood within 48 hours of removing from packaging – if you're not ready to seal, rewrap the wood in plastic to protect it until application
Works great as a desktop, standing desktop, work bench or table

I love butcher block and adding this to my kitchen is a great addition.
Minimal flaws and easy to work with.
We did not use this butcher block in the traditional countertop fashion. We are building a little she shed in our backyard and ended up with a window seat. We used this butcher block as the seat. We sealed it 4 times with polyurethane with light sanding in between each coat and I think it’s going to be a great solution! Add a soft cushion and it will be perfect.

Wood had two three inch gashes
Overall, I feel this is a good deal; however, the wood I received had two small gashes. I’ve included a photo of the damage. The quality of the wood seems really good otherwise. Here is a picture of how it looks after I applied polyurethane.
