I should have read all the bad reviews on this item before purchasing. The screws included are not long enough for the mounting plate, there are not screws for the bracket for the cord cover, it is nearly impossible to get the cord through the cord cover, the cord cover will not screw together properly. I had already drilled the holes in the wall to mount the lamp, so I continued installation, bad decision on my part!

You must buy extra screws (8-32x1 1/4), the recommended lightbulbs did not work with it, and the lampshade came kind of botched in an obvious-looking way. The lampshade bothers me but at this point I'm just pleased that it's functioning. Took a lot of troubleshooting during installation; would not recommend unless you're willing to deal with the BS.

Cute lamp!

I love how it looks in this space! Definitely the extra lighting it needed. The screws for mounting the lamp were too short. Had to purchase longer ones separately.

Bad design

The screws that attach the base to the mounting plate are too short. You have to add spacers between the plate and the wall before it will work. Additionally the part of the lampshade that goes over the top and around the light bulb isn't tall enough for the led bulbs I had. They are dimmable 20 watt bulbs with the equivalent brightness of 150 watt bulb. Should have been another quarter inch taller to accommodate modern bulbs. Thirdly, good luck threading the power cable through the pole section...
