Blew up, unexpectedly, after 5 years
Yes, you read that right - we have 4 of these and 2 of them suddenly "blew up" when a plastic part inside broke, and the springs flew out with a lot of force. Bits were flying throughout the room, and neighboring rooms. The last one happened a few days ago, and it wasn't even being moved at the time - it just snapped. Great shade but warped
It took me a couple weeks to complete the installation of the very good blind before I discovered the bottom rail is bowed, warped with an overall curve like a smile, and won't sit flat on the window ledge. Don't know if this happened when it was cut to size by Lowes, but I think that is what caused the deformation.

Good overall!
Overall very happy with the blinds. Installation was easy because these fit securely into the existing brackets for our previous blinds. Shade material is TOTAL blackout which is great- no light coming through even at the seams between cells. My only gripes are: - Light comes through between the top "bar" of the shade and the mounted headrail. I understand that this is hard to avoid with a TDBU style shade, but it would be nice if the headrail had more overhang to close the slight gap. I plan o...
