No simmer function — only rolling boil

Very nice unit but it absolutely DOES NOT have a simmer function regardless of the description. Sure, it has simmer burner but it runs so high, that is a rolling boil. Don't think for a moment you'd be able to simmer away gently. I ended up getting a cast iron heat diffuser, which gets it to a perfect simmer level. Other than that, it is great. Not your mommas cooktop

Because there was no display and the online photos didnt capture the finishes very well I couldnt get a proper idea of what I was getting. I decided to return it. In person it certainly is an imposing cooktop. A very industrial build.

Just what I needed

I bought this just before the holidays and using it for a month now. It has great flame control with a small ring for low flames and bigger ring that additionally comes on for high flame. I’m using it for outdoor enclosed patio kitchen. Very happy with the product.
