The freezeless Model 17 anti-siphon protected outdoor wall faucet is designed and intended for year-round residential irrigation purposes regardless of outside temperature. This faucet will not rupture from freezing when the valve is shut off and the hose is removed. The model 17 contains an integral backflow protection device which protects up to 125 PSI of backpressure and therefore does not require an add-on vacuum breaker. Would Not Recommend

On the surface it appears to be made well. I installed it through my wall in an heated basement. In 6 months over the winter the pipe burst, what a disaster. I wrote to the company and they sent me a drawing about pitching the pipe inside the house in a slight downward manner. This never came with the device. I though about it and this is totally unscientific. If it is frost proof it shouldn't freeze. And tipping at an angle with the back pressure of the water system would have no effect. Don't ...
