Whynter ARC-1280MX Smart Portable Air Conditioner NEX Inverter 13000 BTU 10000 BTU SACC Dual Hose Cooling

Easy Setup

This thing felt pretty good quality right out of her box. It took about 30 minutes to set up. The trickiest part was cutting the window vent, but that just took one out with a circular saw. If you didn't have that or a jigsaw, it might be a little bit more difficult. Cools well, especially with the intake and output tubes.

Small but powerful

I bought the Whytner AC because it had an inverter and was the only one with a 5 star rating. I have tested it but not used it for any length of time. It is quiet. Fairly easy to assemble and pretty small for what it does. The wheels are very helpful could be a little bigger for carpeting. The machine is sleek and has no sharp edges. I’m happy with the purchase. The invert was key for my battery backup system during storms.

Great air conditioner!

Got this air conditioner because my game room was getting very hot with the heat from my computer. The air conditioner works very well and cools off the room quickly. It was easy to install and setup. Would definitely recommend!

Works OK

In have a 300 sq ft room above my garage. Unit appears to work fine, a little noisy and cools the room some but not as much as I expected, but it was a pretty hot room before

Whynter AC great

This has been a really great purchase! It works fine keeps everything cool. Highly recommend it.

nice quiet quality unit

I upgraded to this unit and I have no complaints

Great Unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a couple weeks ago and installed it by myself. A friend helped me cut the window kit pieces to the size needed, thats the only thing I'd say was an issue. If there was a way to make that easier, more user friendly and avoid needing to cut that would be great! The unit installed easily, been running great and keeping my apartment in the low to mid 70⁰s, as opposed to high 80⁰s+ plus humidity! I have asthma, and the humidity really tri...

Leaking

This new model seems to have some problems. When turning it on for the first time during the heat waves, it leaks out from the wheel area. My older model that runs upstairs is perfect and can run all day long without problems. Dealing with Lowes return policy on portable air conditioners is horrible and now dealing with the 3rd party manufacture is worst. I don't recommend ARC-1280WX

This portable AC has been great so far. It cools the room much faster than I expected. It’s quieter than my old portable unit, and the app is a nice bonus for turning it on before I get home. A little pricey, but definitely worth it.
