Needed more info on product description

Does pretty fair job cooling, but Have had to redesign outflow discharge to eliminate heat from unit into another room. Any discharge restriction alters the cooling of the unit. Had to order extra discharge duct to allow heat to excape second room.

Whirpool 10,000 BTU No Common Sense

They send you a hose that isn't long enough for a window that isn't at the floor, that comes off it's plastic circular housing and won't go back on, and the housing itself doesn't come back off the unit once you slide it into place, leaving you unable to repair it. On top of that, it's on wheels, so if you have to elevate it (you most likely will), it can just roll right off the surface and destroy itself. I guess it works okay when you get all it ghetto rigged up.

underpowered

I got this for my apartment which is a good 200 sqft smaller than the rated sqft. this unit really struggles to even keep the apartment habitable.

Works great

I bought two last year one has heat one don't I use them in a 965 square ft mobile home. They keep temps at 75 degrees and cycle as needed. I have noticed that the one in living/kitchen will fill with water in two days the one at the back of the house fills once a month. I have a home in Florida and I'm going to buy one for there to help out the central ac unit and make bring down my electric bill.

This product is actually made by Hisense, so you might want to save your money on the Whirlpool name if you’re willing to take a chance and buy it. We first returned it to Lowe's the store, where the manager tried to help, but when it became clear a second call to Whirlpool would take more time, we told him we’d handle it ourselves. Mine got moldy very fast!

Do NOT buy this! I only got to use it for 1.5 summers now I have to throw it away because it started making this loud, obnoxious drilling noise and then it accumulated mold on the inside. I tried my best to clean it but it had already spread to hard-to-reach places. The Whirlpool Customer Service team was useless because they couldn’t provide any solution since the warranty had just expired. For AC this price, it shouldn’t be defective after a total of 5 months of overall use. Very disappointed ...
