Its junk. 3 years in and already have replaced thermostat due to thermal switch going out as well as bottom thermostat. Also is showing signs of rust already. Hard to find any appliances that are good quality at Lowes. Everything is cheap junk!!!!
My water heater is just over 2 years old and is not heating properly. I have to get a plumber over to troubleshoot. Already means this is a poor product not matter what Whirlpool does. They will probably replace parts but not labor. Again, poor product that will only cost more in the future I'm sure.

5 years, and time to replace it
This is my second Whirlpool electric water heater that suffered tank failure. First one lasted 10 years. This one lasted just 5.5 years. I paid serious money to get "the best quality". Warranty coverage is nice, but what I want is a well made product.
9 months all good!
Most people do not leave a review until the products fail.Installed this in my father n laws house 9 months ago and still works perfect.Easy install if you are replacing a electric water heater
JUNK Poor support and product ; BEWARE
purchases this water heater on sale for our new house construction. waited about 3 months before the install was done and final electrical was complete. no hot water after a half day, trouble shooting the problem found no electrical or plumbing issues; called support, lower t stat, trip to lowes to get, installed, no hot water, upper t-stat, trip to lowes, no hot water, support again, run around on volume and drop in temp; i have no hot water at all; replaced both elements; they ohmed out good;...
No good
Whirlpool anode rod went bad in 2 months, called Whirlpool , would not stand behind warranty. Had previous hot water tank (not a whirlpool) in for 10 years with same well and water conditions. Also noticed Whirlpool hot water tank is not nearly as effecient on energy use. Ovderall, this is a very poor water heater and even worse customer service to not replace a part that was inder warranty.
So Far so good
I installed this by myself a couple weeks ago. I have no training but was about to youtube it and complete the job successfully in a few hours (including the removal of our old water heater). Since installation it has functioned perfectly. Only 2 weeks now so I would expect nothing less. I got an amazing price of $355 total including tax as a result of stacking a clearance price item with a 10% off for signing up for a Lowes credit card. I searched competitors and found nothing comparable under ...

good heater for the price
I have not installed this unit yet, but the previous install for another customer went well. Not expecting this one to be any different.
