What Customers Are Saying
The water softener effectively softens water, with noticeable improvements in showers, laundry, and appliances. It is praised for its easy installation, compact design, and user-friendly controls. Customers highlight the great value and quality of the product. However, some users have experienced issues such as leaks, malfunctions, and problems with the salt tank, leading to the need to replace the unit within a few years. Overall, the water softener seems to be a solid, budget-friendly option, but its durability and reliability are mixed.

Good product
I have owned three water softeners and installed all three. First two were GE products. The GE products were more difficult to install and set up as opposed to this Whirlpool product. They also take the guessing work out of the settings for softening the water. They have a test strip supplied that helps show exactly where your water is. As opposed to the GE giving you math and guidance. Additionally, I Whirlpool will provide you a test strip for free on their website. This was very beneficial,...

Replacement unit
Bought this unit to replace my inoperative whirlpool softener I bought in 2017. Used the suggested cleaner every time the unit suggested. Hopefully this new unit will last longer.

Awesome features it’s quiet
I got this put in and all set up. I love this thing. I pray that it last as long as my previous water softener I had Eco water 32,000 grain and it was 31 years old. This seems to be well built works perfect and it’s quiet and I’ve noticed I watched through its whole recharge process. It uses so much less water than my Eco water did it’s unreal.

Great unit.
Purchased the Watersoftener 33000 a week ago. It was an easy installation with the exception of trying to find the connection parts. RONA sells the softener but not the parts.
