What Customers Are Saying
The product offers mixed performance, with some users reporting excellent results when smoking and grilling, but others experiencing reliability and durability issues. Positive aspects include the grill's ability to reach high temperatures for searing, even heat distribution, and convenience of the pellet-fueled system. However, several customers have encountered problems with faulty parts, such as the auger and glow plugs, leading to the grill shutting down or catching fire. The inability to reach the advertised maximum temperature is also a common complaint, and some users express disappointment with the overall quality given the high price point.

Very disappointed with the overall quality, especially for the high cost. Internal parts of the grill became rusted within one year of purchase. Replacement parts were provided but fasteners were already rusted in place.

Nice grill
A nice looking grill, takes a few times to get used to the start up procedure. Unfortunately, I can't get the temperature up past 485°, I bought this grill because it is supposed to get up to 600°, what a letdown! I am impressed with the quality of the grill, compared to the competition, it wins hands down. It's a solid, built in the USA grill. (Not built in China)

Glow plug
I have smoked ribs and brisket on the grill. Everything had good flavor. The steaks that I have grilled came out perfect. The down side is the glow plug the first one right out of the box was no good. The spare one you get lasted just shy of a month. The feature that needs work is the hopper design. You have to keep an eye on the pellets they don’t always feed down

Sear +
This grill replaces a 2nd gen LX4 which had continuous problems which Weber tried to remedy and helped me get into the Sear +. It’s performed flawlessly, you can hear the fan react differently to different conditions such as opening lid to changing temps. The sear plate works great and the internal light is a must for evening grills.

One year in and very disappointed.
I bought my SmokeFire Sear+ ELX4 less than a year ago and this has not been a good value. I had been happy with weber grills in the past and decided to buy a "nice" smoker from Weber. So, I spent Weber money on a very poorly made and unreliable smoker. The sheet metal body, and all the brackets you mount heat spreaders and grates on are all extremely thin and flimsy. The grates are VERY nice. They are the nicest part of this grill. When it works, it does get to temperature very quickly. Howeve...
