Installation
When installed correctly these balusters are gorgeous. The covers go over the lower end only. The upper ends do not have covers. See pictures. This eliminates the cover overhang issue mentioned in one review. It also allows you to precisely align the bottom ends so they are fsquare. And if you tighten the set screw just enough to hold in place you won't have a gap and they'll look great.

These were purchased to replace plain balusters and they are looking great so far. Very nice looking balusters. Haven’t finished yet, but so far so good. The tape is to protect the wood during installation.

Nice look but horrible tolerances and fit.
Used the complete set of these to replace an old solid metal railing system that came with our house. Decided on metal over wood ballusters because of the better look. This system of ballusters and covers has multiple issues. 1) Some of them have an inaccurate twist rate. Since these are square this means that the covers on top and bottom are not always aligned. One will be a nice 90 degrees and the other end will be off by a few degrees. 2) Even though I bought these and the railings from Lowe...
