Do not waste your time. I purchased a gallon of this paint+primer(satin) for a tiny bathroom, I chose color *coral passion* (which ended up basically being bright! orange) this paint is horribly thick and incredibly hard to work with. I have already applied 2 coats and you can see every little imperfections. after a stroke or 2 with the roller it basically lifts the paint back off the wall. 1 gallon of this that claims to cover up to 400 sq ft is not goin to be enough. Disappointing

I am not a pro but have been painting a long time. Valspar paint has been my go to for a long time, but no more. It was terrible to apply, didn't go on evenly. My family has had issues with Valspar paint recently also, so I think we are pretty much done with them.

Great color, but…

The paint color turned out beautifully, true to the color on the sample strip. We have always used Valspar and it has been a quality product. However we are disappointed this time. The paint is incredibly thick. It will load easily on the roller, but doesnt spread easily in the walls. The coverage is good, we had a few places that needed touched up. This is where we are disappointed. After drying, when the light hits the walls at certain angles, you can see every roller mark or touched up area. ...

Wow. I'm incredibly annoyed and disappointed to be writing this review but if you read any of the poor reviews, please read this one. I bought my home 4 years ago and the ONLY paint ive used to for the entire home, is valspar signature. I once tried a same of another brand sold at the conpetitor of lowes and it didn't compare. Dries FAST

Purchased two colors for walls on 4/4/25. This paint starts drying too fast. One can had small paint skin chunks (from lid drying when color matching?) and was constantly swiping them off and rolling over. At times it felt like I was brushing on rubber cement. You’re better off not trying to “cover” like the can says as by the time you’re touching the wet edge you’re just pulling it back up. I thinned the paint out and had better luck.

Save some money but not time

I got this in a dark red color after trying some expensive Sherwin Williams (from their store) paint that required multiple coats to get an even finish. Unfortunately this acted the same way and had to have two coats to get the job done. I definitely rate it better than the other stuff though because it was much cheaper and acted the same as the fancy brand name!

I bought two gallons of valspar signature series paint 45.00 gal. The worst paint I've ever bought in my career. The can was littered with snots. That tells me they shelve old paint stock.. If I wasn't two hours away i would have certainly took it back. I'm back to Sherwin Williams paint.

Didnt cover wall with 2 coats

got primer included in paint to cover wall. We primed the wall with white and than added two coats of this paint and still needs more coats to cover the wall. We showed the lowes person in the paint department the picture and this is what they recommended for us. THe only reason that it is not a one star is the scarlet is a nice match to OSU.

wrong color

I went in to Lowe's to do a color match on a color I brought from Lowe's. First off the guy behind the counter threw my sample away with out asking if I needed or wanted it back. once I reached home and started touching up the paint spots I needed to touch up to realize the paint color was darker then I needed. with the guy throwing away my sample I had nothing to compare the color to in the store. I've brought paint from Lowe's before but going forward I will definitely go somewhere else.

Beautiful and easy

This paint is beautiful and was so easy to use. I haven't painted in years and I'm so happy with my new bedroom walls! The paint dried very quickly with almost no smell, and I only needed to use one coat over the white that my walls were already painted with. My painter's tape came off without any issues after the paint was dry. I get Golden Butter and I'm so happy with it! It's a very rich custardy yellow in the daylight, and turns just a little more pastel with my lights on at night.
