What Customers Are Saying
The paint received mixed reviews, with some customers praising its great coverage, smooth application, and beautiful finish, while others reported issues with chipping, scratching, and peeling. The paint's self-leveling properties, quick drying time, and durability were highlighted as positives, but some found the finish to be chalky and matte rather than the expected satin sheen. Multiple coats were sometimes required to achieve full coverage, and some customers had to apply a protective polyurethane coating to preserve the paint.

Got this to paint a table and chairs it has been 2 days and this paint is chalky and does NOT have a “furniture finish”. 2 coats later and 2 days later and it’s still chalky. I am highly disappointed in this product. I’m going to have to take this back and get another brand cabinet/furniture paint.

Best paint for cabinets
I’m an artist. One day I decided to blotch paint my kitchen wall. I found this product on a clearance rack where I bought acrylic paints where people returned samples they were unhappy with…. and that’s when I came across this #740158 enamel product. It leaves no brush strokes!! I thought it would be great to practice painting on glass. However, never tried it…. but I happen to have an antique bedroom set almost the same color so I painted the end tables first. That was three years ago and it is...

Leaves a chaulky finish
I sanded my cabinets, primed, then applied this paint. I applied two coats and it has been drying for 5 days now. As of this morning it is still chaulky when I touch it. Literally if I run my finger down my cabinet door, there is a chaulky line left. Why is this happening? I shouldn't need to add another topcoat. If this doesn't cure like it's supposed to, this will be such a waste of my time and money...not to mention my cabinet are ruined.

Goes on smoothly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far it’s going on great. I hope it holds up to kitchen use. Love the way it’s spraying on.

Formula has changed.
This paint has changed! I used this on a kitchen table 5 years ago and it still looks great. Used it in our motorhome and cabinets turned out great. Bought some this month to paint bathroom cabinets and the formula has changed and is chalky now. I will need to change to the Sherwin Williams furniture paint.

Best cabinet paint
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this paint for two of my houses. It holds up so well. I have four kids and a dog. So easy to use. I painted my kitchen cabinets and all my interior doors. I refer this to everyone.

Really inferior product
Bought this paint to resurface a dresser. Sanded, painted and cleaned the surface. The complaints are right on. Cannot get streaks to flatten out, paint is chalky and looks like it isn't going to hold up at all, even after 2 coats. Would it make sense to brush on a water base polyurethane to make it more durable and better looking? Wish I had read the reviews before I started.

Superior gloss enamel
This is an extraordinary good paint. If you have the patience to wait for it to dry you would be hard pressed to find a better high gloss oil based enamel. HIGHLY recommended. This is as good as the old Taubmans Butex , a high praise indeed

Amazing
I thought this paint to redo our kitchen cabinets. After much patience, two coats of Kilz3 primer and two coats of paint, it came out amazing. Sanding definitely helped. We made sure not to mess with the cabinets much for the 7 day cure time. I definitely recommend it.

Garbage!!
I painted 21 cabinet doors about two months ago. I did four coats with a day in between each coat. I finally got the kitchen done and put the doors up. The paint almost scratches off just by looking at it. I'm afraid to touch them because barely touching it against something or against your fingernail scratches it off. My wife saw them for the first time and said they looked chalky. Which other comments have said the same thing. End result, took them all back down and I'm in the process of sand...
