Valspar Signature Satin Clear Interior Paint ( 1-quart )

Much missed :(

The day Valspar (Lowe's) stopped making/selling this product, was a bad day for me, because it meant the end of me being able to put a beautiful, gleaming, final coat on my painted furniture and wood pieces. Nothing else comes close. Not the Minwax Polycrylic products, Behr POLYeurethane, etc. Unfortunately, my last can of this wonderful Valspar product is gone. I wish I had bought several when it was available.

Excellent clear coat for interior

I purchased this to paint over a school mural my art club painted in latex, on a wall. It protected the mural, gave it a light sheen, and went on smoothly. Very impressed!

Super thick, but yellowed.

I used this to go over a custom sign I made and not only was it super thick, but it dried leaving yellow marks! I tried to sand it out but to no avail, it didn’t work and I ended up having to remake the sign. The finish was however was nice which is why I have it 2 stars. It may be ok if you’re painting it over something that’s a darker color.

This was exactly what I needed for my seven unfinished interior doors-- I like the natural look and decided to not paint my interior doors-- this product was perfect!

Great protection

I gave this 4 stars because, while this went on clear and appears to have helped with preventing dings and damages when putting the cabinet doors back on, I did notice the top clear coat cause the doors to have a tacky/sticky feeling to them for the first week or so of having been put on. Not sure if this is typical or not, but I've had no other issues with it so far ¯\(°_o)/¯

Clearly easy

Easy to apply to unfinished pine. Keeps the “new” wood looks.

Great product

Great product. Mixed with Valspar metalic crystals and worked wonderfully.

It yellows!

I'm very upset with this product! It says non yellowing, and I wanted the wood I had to keep it's natural color but be protected. I've been trying to sand the wood with a 40 grade followed by fine, and its still not getting rid of the yellow. If I could give this product zero stars I would! If you don't mind that whatever you are coating has a yellowing color, then this is the product for you, but if you're like me and want that natural beautiful look, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
