I put in 16 skylights in my poolroom back in 99, within five years they were starting to rot out. I replaced two of them when no one would help me out. Was told they had to be at least 15 degrees angled, mine are 13. The two I replaced are still in very good shape the others are falling apart. I was told the calk to seal the glass was changed at some time ago and that is why the newer ones don't leak. Now I have to change the rest of them at my own expense since no one would help me out before.

Peace of mind is priceless
Love our skylights, cheerful daylight clouds, admiring the moon at night. No leaks during heavy rain and winter snow. May install solar blinds to reduce sun streaming in room. Undecided but still have that option.

Replacement skylights
We had all 8 of our older Velux skylights replaced due to some leaking issues around the flashing. Love the look and function of them..... until we found that there is sap or something oozing out of the wood frame. Contacted support, and waiting on an answer as to how to proceed

Solar Blinds and Better Sound-quieting Upgrade
We bought these two months ago to replace our 20 year old Velux Skylights. The new ones have the Solar blinds with the wall mounted remote control that is synced to both of them. The new ones are even quieter than the old ones when it is raining hard outside. Very nice upgrade.
