Amazing look for less

I love the look of reclaimed wood on the wall and I was excited to see that Lowes has a self-stick option for less $ than some popular brands. I've installed over 100 sq ft. and I found that there is a trick to successful installation that is not mentioned in the instructions. Kitchen ceiling

Placed this on 250 sq feet of uneven ceiling to hide damaged drywall and give my kitchen a farmhouse look and some character. It was easy to cut, but I did mix some watered down matched paint to paint the cut edges. Harder to install than I thought

Ok, this is much much harder to install than I thought! If I had to do it over, I would pay the extra money for stikwood. This wood is very very thick compared to the stikwood. Boards are very imperfect! But look great!

So......my contractor and I literally had to go through all the boxes I bought to pick out the boards that we could actually use. However, given the challenge of getting real barn wood this still worked for me! My contractor is one of the top in the area and he knew from the start that he would have to use nails but it added to the rustic look. Still worked for me. Will add a photo later. I plan to return the warped boards that we could not use. I don't expect the wall to be perfectly flat ...

Great Look and Feel

I am impressed with this product. I read other reviews before I purchased and decided to delve in because I liked the look and ease of use. For the most part, it looks perfect. Of course there are some imperfections, but that is what provides the character of the wall. I do recommend painting the wall a darker gray so that some of the areas between the boards will not be visible. I hesitate to post a photo of an unfinished room, but by my iPhone photo, you can see how well it works.

Use nails

It's a really nice looking product once installed but as other reviews have stated many boards are warped/bowed, which causes them to not make great contact with the wall. I used nails to make sure boards like that stayed on. If you're not going to use nails I would buy a bunch of extra boxes and pick out the straightest boards to use. Not all planks are flat

We used these planks for a wall about our fire place. They worked as advertised by sticking to the wall. One problem was that some of the planks are not flush with the others, but we didn't think it would be a huge deal. Over the weekend, weather reached over 100 in our area. Company won't stand behind the product

The boards are all bowed, no way for them to stick to a wall, they are coming undone, and the company won't stand behind them. They say that is the way they are supposed to be and we should put nails in them...not why I bought a product that was self adhesive. Looks good from far away, but up close it's pretty bad. Would not recommend

I would not recommend. It takes quite a bit of this product to actually cover a wall. The boards looked nice, but were very difficult to get a good seal when installing. They "popped" off of the surface and I ended up having to screw them in to secure. For the price, these were a total waste! Not to mention that even though I wasn't thrilled with the outcome, I really could not take them down and return them due to the adhesive ruining the wall if I did so. A $300 project that was a bust!
