I was in the store for a new probe for my iGrill mini, which I'm also fairly fond of, and saw this. I've had several "Instant Read" Thermometers and none are anywhere close to instant, the others seem to take 10 seconds or more. This one says 2 seconds and it's true! So much more convenient.
