Tell Manufacturing KT2100 series Empire ball knobs offer a light duty tubular, grade 2 knob in a satin stainless steel finish. Our KT2100 series was built to meet the commercial needs of each application, whether it be entry, storeroom, privacy and/or passage. These knobs can be used in new construction or replacement hardware and will fit into a standard 161 door prep. Tell Manufacturing offers a solid selection of commercial hardware for your exterior and interior needs.

So the assembly is a little harder than a normal door and can seem daunting, but if you go through the instructions it becomes really easy and simple. The knobs are nice and sturdy and can fit onto normal house doors as well. But I will say if you’re using it on an in-house store then you would want to get rid of the inside metal pieces that usually have it go onto an industrial door. Had a tough time figuring out how this systems works but only because I wasn't aware of the design of it. We could not unlock it and pull the key out because it is designed as an "always locked" application. This means that you can't leave it unlocked. You have to have the key to turn the knob every time you open the door.

First step of installation was to remove inside knob. Followed directions to no avail. Watched a video and followed instructions to no avail. Called and scheduled a professional to install and they could not get inside knob removed after trying for 2+ hours. I returned mdse.

Been looking for an industrial grade door lock that will not only last a long time, open the door smoothly but also automatically unlock itself to prevent accidentally locking yourself out of your house. This is it! Lock is very well built and it unlocks itself when you turn the knob so that you wont accidentally lock yourself out of your own house. Installation is very easy too. 5 Stars. Highly recommended.
