Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
The toilet is a budget-friendly option, with some customers finding it easy to install and efficient in water usage. However, there are mixed reviews, with some reporting issues like poor flushing performance and quality concerns such as cracked parts. The overall sentiment suggests it may be a decent choice for some, but may not meet the needs of all customers.

Bought two of these Sterling Windhams (a Kohler company) to replace the small, low-end builder's models in my house that were ten years old. Both had begun to leak from the wax rings (again) due to rocking on uneven tile. Installation was quick and painless, except for compensating for the poor tile work. Took longer to shim and level them than it did to complete both changeouts. The toilets were not at fault, as they were flat on the bottom. BTW, I'm through with wax rings. This time, I used p...
LOVE THIS TOILET!!
This is the BEST toilet EVER! We have a tiny bathroom and this toilet being so slim really makes a difference. You don't feel so crammed in between the sink and tub. The tank lid is flat, perfect for setting a candle. The BEST PART though is it STAYS CLEAN!! (Texas does not have hard water) I always flush twice and in doing so, I don't even get that weird red algae that is so prevalent in Texas. If you have healthy, normal #2s and not the spray kind, you only need to dust this potty when it gets...
Very Poor Fill Valve
I bought this toilet almost two years ago. It seemed small, stylish, inexpensive, and water efficient. I never really had problems that people describe with one flush not being enough... just hold the lever down for longer to use more water in the flush, and it worked fine. However... the included fill valve with this toilet is absolutely terrible. You will definitely need to replace it, which will bring the total price to much higher than much better toilets. After about 6 months, it would oc...
5 Year Review - Okay for the price
I purchased 3 of these toilets 5 years ago for our house remodel. We chose this model for the features (chair height, elongated bowl, high efficiency design) and price point. The toilets themselves are good. They flush well and rarely require a double flush. The "parts" are all cheap though. The toilet seat is flimsy. The wax ring is so thin it's almost unusable. The flapper emits a loud thud when is closes. I have already replaced these as they stopped sealing properly after 3-4 years. The fill...
Nice little crapper!
For three years now since I bought my house I have hated the toilet in my hall bathroom. It was a 1.6 gallon per flush Kohler model that flushed poorly and was difficult to clean based on the internal shape of the bowl. I was always just to cheep to do anything about it...When I found the Sterling Windham on sale for $99.00 I was finally convened I should go ahead and buy it and try to replace the toilet myself. I was skeptical because I had never done it before but after watching a couple onlin...
Sleek and trim
Excellent flush and great on water saving. Fits well in a small to mid size bathroom to save a little space even with the elongated bowl. The comfort height is ideal. I will never go back to a low seated toilet again. It has a good looking design (for a toilet that is). Also I am happy finally to find a toilet tank with a completely flat lid where I can sit stuff on the surface without it sliding off. To the people who complain it doesn't flush and has small water flow...that's the point of a lo...
A Quality Product at a Great Price
We purchased our house with this toilet installed in the main bath. In progress of remolding the master and going to Lowes to pick up this toilet. Kohler is known for its high quality bath fixtures even in their private label brand Sterling. Same high quality at a lower price. Having the use of only one bathroom during the remodel I learned a lot from this toilet. I concur with others on the 1.28 gpf is insufficient amount of water to clear the bowl. Further research shows Kohler/Sterling ...
Dont buy...you will be buying another in 6 weeks
I did a renovation in my home and bought 2 toilets. 1st toilet take 2 to 3 times to flush. 2nd toilet does not get a lot of use but now will not flush correctly. When you flush the toilet the bowl fills up but will not suction anything down. It is like a valve or something is broke. I had this toilet professionally installed so they knew what they were doing. I could also see if I had little children of someone clogging the toilet. However there are only adults. Typically, when you plunge a t...

Not Happy
I purchased two of these and just installed the first one last night. First flush and the flapper doesn't stay open long enough to use the available water in the tank. The flapper slamming shut prematurely causes splashing from the bowl onto the seat. No amount of tweaking with the tank float or flapper float height eliminates the problem and for good reason...The flush handle and chain should be directly (or close to) above the chain's connection to the flapper. Sterling's design pulls the flap...

Best budget: Sterling Windham vs AquaSource
I had two budget toilets from Lowe’s in the last year. An AquaSource and the Sterling Windham First, a toilet should flush well. The Windham does that! When flushing the AquaSource, it left many dry spots in the bowl. This left things behind that remained stuck on the bowl until you cleaned it. The Windham flushes as good as any toilet. Next, the water tank on the Windham has thicker walls. I hope this means it won’t form a crack in the years ahead. The other budget toilet by AquaSource f...
