Nice growing and spreads
Mid April - Used to seed about 5000 sqft of bare soil. Prepped soil, threw down seed(1/2 bag) , light raked in and watered several times a day. It took about 12 days to germinate and did so once the temperature reached into the low 80's. The first week was a little cooler in the low to mid 70's. The first sign was small bits of grass that looked like rice at first. a month later had a full covered laws. Over the next several months the edges of the grass spread an additional 5 feet into the dirt...
I now Have a great lawn
I planted this seed June 8 in FL. I saw germination in 5 days. The temp. was above 70 degrees. It may take longer to germinate if planted when the temps are colder. Don't think you can buy this throw it on your lawn and walk away it just won't work. One area I put down topsoil then raked and rolled the seed in, it worked great. One area I just raked the soil spread the seed and rolled it in. That worked also. The seed needs soil contact to germinate. You don't need to water it constantly but it ...
Easiest grass I've ever grown!
I bought this brand, Penington 1-step and another brand recently. This Sta-Green brand did the best BY FAR! It was so easy to get it established and before I knew it, it was growing very well. Love it and will buy it again! The Penington brand didn't take at all.. and this was on BARE BLACK CLAY soil! I can't remember what the other brand was, but it grew in clumps, so I'm guessing it was 100% Bermuda. I will buy this Sta-Green brand again, $60 well spent!!!!!!!!
Great Results
I planted the seeds for a new lawn on June 1, 2014 in NC. I watered everyday whenever there was no rainfall. I also had fertilizer applied. I used a cultivator to till the soil. It is now three weeks and my results are great. I have some crab grass growing among the bermuda and I will apply crab grass weed killer after my third mow.
Great seed result
I have got great seed results using this StaGreen Bermuda in middle Tn

Would not germinate
This product simply will not germinate. Followed directions precisely and watered multiple times each day. Gently covered with 1/4" topsoil and wasted an incredible amount of time. None of these seeds germinated over a 5 week period. Very discouraging because it takes a tremendous amount of work to prepare the soil, seed, rake and water.
This Grass Seed is a Non-Starter
I prepared two separate lawn areas per instructions back in May. When you first use the product, it looks like salt. Not a big deal. However, seeds did not germinate at all even after using a starter fertilizer and covering the seeds with Topper. Big disappointment!
Good seed. Growing nicely.
I was actually skeptical that this little bag would cover as much as it says it would, but to my surprise it did the job. I spread lime and fertilizer before seeding, and laid straw over after seeding. I've watered every day. The grass has germinated nicely and is beginning to spread. Be sure to have a spreader with settings. This grass seed is very fine and is hard to see when it hits the dirt. All in all, I think it's a great product and will recommend this to anyone looking for a quality seed...
