What Customers Are Saying
The Spyder diamond tile drill bit has received mixed reviews. While some customers reported the bit provided a smooth, clean cut and worked well for drilling holes in various materials, many others found the diamond coating wore off quickly, making the bit unusable after just 1-3 holes in tile. The durability and performance of this product appears to be inconsistent, with a number of customers describing it as "useless" and a "waste of money" due to its short lifespan.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.Works but doesn’t last long
Worked as expected drilling glass but didn’t last very long. I believe I drilled 8 holes in a glass bottle and it was basically done
Great for ceramics
Cut great
Garbage!
Synthetic diamond wears off the front of the bit in a matter of seconds, making it completely useless. What a waste of money!!
Never purchase
Got one hole out of this terrible bit
Excellent product. Just go slow!
I haven’t used it but the same one 1/4” worked perfectly
I do not recommend get Lenox or something else
Only lasted for 6 holes but its easy to remove plug
Good product!
The product is a great improvement over the butterfly style tile bits. Biggest problem is getting it started, but you can use the butterfly bit for that
Limited Uses
The product performs well the first few times it is used. It is crucial that you maintain the water on the bit when drilling otherwise the cutting portion of the bit quickly deteriorates and the bit becomes unusable. With proper attention to detail and careful use it works, but even so the life of the bit is very short.
