It’s good

Quality is ok. I bought it a 2-d time for my project. I used Rubio monocoat hard wax dye for my table top and for cabinet for my business store. The delivery was on time but to wrong address. I found it easy by using google map and took it home. It’s pretty heavy :) Probably some busy mister-X typed accidentally wrong delivery number. It happens! Im glad that my story has a happy end :)

Beautiful Butcher Block for DIY Kitchen Island

I had the butcher block sent to the Lowe's store and picked it up. It was well-packaged in a box with corner protectors and wrapped in heavy duty plastic. Once taken out of the box, it was beautiful, on both sides. Can't wait to seal it and for the natural color to shine.

Excellent quality product and easy to work with.

Quality countertop. The wood was easy to work with. I cut this in half to make two large cutting boards that will cover sections of a granite countertop. I routed out hand holds and rounded over the top edges. It cut cleanly and finishes nicely. I used mineral oil to finish, with a coating of bees wax. It took about 10 oz of mineral oil ultimately, and the natural wood grain and color really stands out.

Great item have it shipped to the store

The item itself was perfect for my needs (a desktop). Nice looking, smooth, but rather heavy. The only issue was shipping, not the fault of Lowes. The item is shipped from the producer by Fedex. In my case, the item was bounced around allover the place. The local Fedex warehouse was confused and tried to send it back to the sender three times. After about 18 days or so, it ended up sitting in the local Fedex warehouse, where it was scanned 8-10 times and never delivered. It was scheduled ...

Handle with care

I did exactly as I was told to...sealed the butcher block immediately after removing the plastic. And the results were good, but not great. They claim that it is sanded to 180 grit sandpaper, but I found that after sealing it, I had to sand again as some the grain was raised. This is all fine, but if you plan on using wax or oil to seal, you will be frustrated. I used polyurethane, so a quick sand with 220 and all was right...almost. Some of the grain lifted to the extent that I had slivers...

High quality butcher block

both 4' counters arrived defect free. I had previously ordered a 60"x30" of the same brand and thickness and was hoping to use that and one of the smaller ones but the pattern did not match the larger piece so it was good that I ordered 2 4 foot counters Both 4 foot counters matched and were perfect. I will have to return the 5 foot counter

Beautiful butcher block, awful customer service.

I’ve always wanted butcher block counters in my kitchen and these definitely are budget friendly, as long as you can deal with the horrible customer service Lowe’s has. We ordered a 6’ and a 10’ piece and had a ton of issues with our order. From Lowe’s refusing our 10’ piece for in store pickup, not telling us, not reordering/replacing it, still charging us, then canceling our replacement order without our knowledge and/or permission. We finally had the 10’ piece direct delivered 3 weeks later ...

As they say, finish it quickly once opened.

It was delivered very well packed and in excellent condition. Looked very nice. I was cutting off 3/5 for a counter top, and it cut well. It took a "butcher block" oil for good finish. There was however one possibly very concerning issue. the 2/5 remaining sat in my garage for < 48 hours, at which time I oiled it for a possible cutting block. It was then that I noticed a very significant warp...to a degree that would prohibit using if for counter, or even cutting block. I assume from unequal hyd...

Nice, But

It arrived undamaged and sealed in plastic ,the instructions say it must be sealled on all sides within 48 hours after removing sealed plastic covering. I am going to use it as a building platform for my wood working project's. I unsealed it and immediately started to seal it with hand applied minwax polyurethane. I have 3 coats on the bottom and 5 coats so far on the top and sides. I noticed yesterday that one side a crack has developed in almost the center and not on a glue seam. It is not wid...

Good quality and looks great

I made sure to use a brand new blade and solid guide rail to get a good clean cut with little sanding. I finished with tung oil and it makes a nice coffee bar.
