Making a table out of a countertop

This is a butcher block top made of ash wood. Although it is intended for use as a countertop, I used it to make a table. I sanded the edges to make them slightly rounded, and then I stained it and lightly polyurethaned it. I think it makes a very nice table. The quality of the wood is good and the price is excellent compared to a custom table top. There were some minor defects in the surface, which I sanded out, which is way I give this 4 instead of 5 stars.

Damaged and defective

The protective cover on the countertop was insufficient to protect it during shipping. The corners had no covers and unsurprisingly two of the for corners had four inch cracks. Also, after opening the packaging I noticed that the glue had delaminated down the middle of the countertop, leaving it in two pieces. To boot, I originally ordered the countertop for delivery to save myself the time, but it was ineligible for return shipping so I had to spend an hour of my day returning it to the store m...

I purchased three of these counter tops and they turned out beautifully. No flaws and they glued together almost seamless. I am extremely pleased with my new countertops. Disappointed that they are special order only, I went back for more. Definitely would recommend.

Too many flaws. It looks like burnt areas

The countertops are riddled with flaws and burnt areas. Search elsewhere, Very disappointed with the product.
