We recommend visiting with a Lowe’s paint and stain specialist for tips on finishing with oils or varnishes based on your specific needs. Regular maintenance of your Sparrow Peak countertop will ensure its beauty lasts for generations to come. Use Minwax Ebony 2718 or similar for touchup stain.

First, a caveat: I'm less than a novice at wood project. This is literally my first one. But, I'm happy with my purchase so far. I'm using it for a desk, which seems much simpler than using it for an actual counter. The color was similar to what was shown online and it seems to be good quality - there wasn't any cracking/splitting when I received it.

Loved the color and the contrast of the stained grain. I knew it was more expensive than the lighter colored options but I felt this was worth the cost for the distinct dark tones. It will make a great addition to my office for a new desk. Buyer beware- you can just screw anything into this. The wood will crack. So adding legs, desk stiffeners, etc will take some research to find suggestions for hardwoods, not softwoods. It was well packaged but still received it with minor damage on a corner. D...
