These strippers give you the closest cut to the back of the box without any issues.

Not a useful tool

I’ve had this romex stripper for over two years and I want to love it but it is junk. As others have said, the handle covers slip right off when applying pulling pressure to the tool. I’ve super glued the handle covers onto the tool and that helped but the tool is just not as fast and efficient as using a knife to run a slit down the romex jacket and peel it away. The head of the tool is too large to be a pocket tool and it is not balanced well enough when in the hand. Just not worth it when...

Needs some work to make it a great tool

My tool's handle cushions are easily pulled off. They need some kind of glue to better attach them. The box head cutter doesn't quite cut through all of the outer Romex insulation as shown in the videos. It works OK if you are just trying to remove the last inch or so of insulation. You have to twist the handles a bit to get the complete cut. It is not possible to strip more than the last inch or outer romex insulation.

They work for a homeowner not for the PRO

The problem I noticed with this the insulated grips keep pulling off the handles

Total Waste of Money

I purchased this Romex Wire Stripper to use for an electrical project my basement, thinking it would make the work easier. Unfortunately, it did the opposite. The sheath stripper doesn't cut properly and I can't pull the sheathing away easily. In fact, the sheath stripper damaged the insulation of a hot wire, which I had to repair with electrical tape. It's easier to run a box cutter along the cable's center and peel back the sheath, then cut it off near the cable entry with diagonal cutters...

Needs re- Engineering

If you want this tool to be really good, make individual tools for 14/2, 12/2, and 10/2 like Klein did! Head of the tool is too bulky to get up inside the box really well!

Speeds up rough in tremendously!! The design is perfect and fit in a single gang box with no issues no more pre stripping or knife needed!!
