Great product

Love these straps, have had them at work for years with no problems. However i got the Tactical 3k rated ones last week and had the strap break on the first trip, not due to user error.

Will not tighten, do not recommend.

These ratchet straps do not function. They look beefy, and they are made of thick metal, but they do not allow you to tighten the straps. When you are ratcheting these straps to secure whatever your load may be, they will only tighten so far before the ratcheting mechanism slips and loosens. The plastic that is molded into the teeth of the gear doesn’t allow the spring loaded finger to grip enough when tightening. Highly recommend against these straps.

Avoid at all cost

Purchased these straps for my SXS. First use, when ratcheting it slips and loosens. Happens every time I try to tighten unless I open the handle maybe 10%. Have used them 3 times and happened each time. Checked my old straps and found these same ones and had stopped using them for the same reason. Now replacing them for a second time. Stay away, they are junk.

Weak springs

The straps themselves are good quality, I own the 500lbs version and love them. The "tactical" handles have a good feel to them. HOWEVER, the springs on these get overpowered and can't resist the force when you really start to ratchet it down. If you push down on the pawl, which pushes the springs into the gear better, then you can tighten it... I compared this to other ratchet straps and many do not use two baby springs so I think an improved design without these springs is necessary.

Good except for the soft loops

Got into a bind and needed strong straps fast these were great, but I wish they wouldn’t have had the soft loops on them. When I was using them, on one side, the soft loops actually got caught in the ratchet And had to use different straps. Always provides soft Loop separately

not great

Ratchet gears themselves at an odd angle or something, they unfortunately slip and come undone when yr cranking them. Have to press the crank retaining clip (?) into center of ratchet (opposite of releasing it: pressing it in) for it to engage and crank w/o slipping! Hope that helps someone

Ratchet Strap

Purchased these to replaced an old set that worked well. These seem even better than my old set. Ratchet action is smooth and firm.
