it's a bulb....
Since this is a LED it is slightly different than the Halogen I usually use. As you can see in the pics, the LED bulb doesn't reflect light all the way to the top like the Halogen bulb does. But it does stay cool unlike the Halogens which heat up like veritable hell. Also, LED's aren't as fragile as Halogens. So that is a big plus! Also should last longer.....we will see.
Great replacement for those hot halogens!
We have a few different fixtures with the small halogen spotlights in them. We like the look and brightness, but they burn out quickly, are hot and get expensive! This 7 watt bulb replaces a 50 watt which really adds up when you look at it over time or even the 18-20 we could replace now. It’s cool near the bulb and almost as bright. It’s a bit softer than the old bulb but I like that honestly. It’s a smoother, less sharp transition. I can’t speak to the dimmable part but I would imagine it mak...

Lumens per watt efficiency seems a little low (500 lumens / 7 W = 71 lm/W, while others I have are 380 lumens / 4 W = 95 lm/W) for current bulbs on the market. This may not matter, but if you ar...
