I've installed these at two houses, one under a porch roof and one on a roofless properly, with the sensor regulating on/off. I really like being able to turn the exterior light on during the day, knowing that it won't illuminate until dark.
Works as advertised!
I wanted these lights to stick outside as my garage lights as the switch for them is out in my garage itself AND so I didn't have to turn them on manually every day! They turn on when it's dusk and off at dawn. Perfect use without the need of a timer.
LED night light bulbs
I was excited to review these bulbs - I thought I had the perfect place for them! Not. The bulbs worked great but didn't turn off in the day. I had made a mistake and installed them in an outdoor fixture that cover the red dot on the side of the bulb. Do the bulbs work, Yes when installed into a fixture that does not cover the red dot. Will the bulbs save you money? Yes, they turn off during the day automatically and LED technology is low power with the same amount of light as a regular 60 filam...
