Learn MoreScotts® Turf Builder® Annual Program is everything you need for your lawn in one simple program, providing it with the nutrition it needs throughout the year. Scotts® Turf Builder® Annual Program Early Spring is the first product in the program. This pre-emergent weed killer plus lawn fertilizer prevents the germination of crabgrass and other weeds while providing an after-winter feeding. It prevents crabgrass, barnyard grass, fall panicum, foxtail, Poa annua, chickweed, oxalis, and spurge. Apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Annual Program Early Spring in early spring (prior to 3rd or 4th mowing) when your lawn is dry and before temperatures are regularly in the 80s. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6. For best results, the lawn should receive ¼ to ½ inch of water from rainfall or watering within 2-3 days after application. Do not apply to Dichondra and Bentgrass. This product controls crabgrass in its early stages of growth. It does not control mature crabgrass and other existing weeds. One 10.68 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Annual Program Early Spring covers 4,000 sq. ft.

be aware of the size
When insaw this deal i thought it was a special package only for lowes, since if you bought the regular scotts 4-stage, it would cost $250+, and its ij dofferent packaging. So $100 obviosly seemed like a fantastic deal. But when delivered, all four bags put together equals about 1 to 1.5 bags of the regular size. However, i have a small property - about 3000 swuare feet, and the package says it covers 4000. I spread the forst stsfe a little thin but it did cover it all. So i guess its fine....

Weeds doing well
Bought this set to help the lawn but mostly kill the weeds and crabgrass. Well one month after application, the lawn is green, no crabgrass but the weeds are also thriving. I have more healthy weeds than I ever had. I guess they forgot to put in some chemical. Need to buy a separate weed killer which is what I was trying to avoid.

Happy so far!
I just put the early spring product on my lawn this week. I'll make a determination on how happy I am next year after I see how the 4 applications help my lawn. Ask me again next year at this time. I'm happy with Lowes so far. I hope the product lives up to the promises made by Scotts.

went to buy this since i been using scotts for years ,well no more wake up pp looking what they are doing making it 4000 sq feet now so u have to buy 2 bags to do 5000 like the other bags did before shame every dam company thinks of ways to rip pp off never happy well hope others see this and think about it ban scotts from ur yard list now

Worst lawn I've ever had.
This year we switched from a professional company to this product. We put what was recommended down each season. This has been the absolute worst lawn I've ever maintained. Weeds galore. Would not recommend this product to anyone, not even my enemies.

Anxious for the lawn improvement
Recently purchased Scotts Turf Builder from Lowe's. It was shipped quickly and arrived in 2 days! So far I've only used the spring treatment. I'm looking forward to the improvement to my lawn that I'm expecting from the Turf Builder!

Scotts is the best for the lawn, and this early spring seed has really grown in well with recent rains and heading into May. I am glad that Lowes sells this product and the other seasonal lawn seed products from Scotts.

Spring Job made easy
My grass looks great! I put the spring turf builder onto my grass early Easter morning April 4th. It's April 15th and we've had some rain. My grass looks awesome! It's full and deep green. There are no dandelions. I used a hand held spreader and simply followed the directions. Easy!

Horrible experience
This product inside the store and it seemed dry. Went to inside the broadcast spreader and it was damp and clumped up. I can’t even get it to drop thru the chute. Left it sit out in the sun all day and still is too damp to spread. I even tried to bust up the clumps to no avail.

Every early March I put it down, and it does it’s job. However, it doesn’t cover the listed square footage. Buy two bags if you have to.
