The DH512M is an uncoupling and waterproofing membrane designed to secure Ditra-Heat heating cable in place. Ditra-Heat provides uncoupling to neutralize shear stresses between the substrate and the tile covering to prevent cracked tile and grout. The cut-back stud structure of the Ditra-Heat membrane holds the heating cable in place without the use of clips or fasteners. It also eliminates the need for a self-leveling compound which minimizes the assembly thickness and allows for quicker installation.

Easy to lay down and to run heat cable

I haven't turned on my heated floor yet, but laying this grid down on the subfloor with mortar was very easy. This is my first time doing tile and after watching a few YouTube videos I felt confident in what I was doing. It is also very easy to snap the heating cable into place on the grid.
