Very simple design and good quality for our 80 year old home. We bought some very expensive knobs with glass and a long rectangular backplate for the most visible doors. Used these for all the closet and less visible doors-they complemented each other nicely and saved some $

The only downside is that the knob shell does not remove from the shaft. Thus, causing one to angle the screwdriver and possible scratching the finish. On older door sets, one could remove the knob and then reattach it. Much better.

Excellent choice when rekeying multiple doors. Having the locks keyed the way you want from the beginning is great. Schlage locks are excellent and the ability to have the keying done and shipped to your address is a time saver.
