To turn OFF the loud chime song - Power on the dryer. Before selecting anything, hold the wrinkle release button that has a *, and the start/stop button at the same time. I believe it takes 3-5 seconds. You will hear a sound that goes down in pitch and if you do it again, a sound that goes up in pitch - (Off / On). After you hear the selection you want, choose your selections as you want. Why I couldn't find this anywhere online is insane! Why would it not be in the user manual!?!?!

Dryer under 5 yrs old and just stopped working on me..no indication of failure either. Won't turn on won't even light up. 600 dollars for a dryer is really crazy especially since it looks still brand new

Go buy a different brand
Bought this washer/dryer set not too long ago, and after replacing the heating element 50 eleven times, I have decided to go buy a different model. I have literally had to replace this heating element every 6 months if not less. Granted I do a lot of laundry, I have 4 kids and 4 foster kids and we dirty up some laundry. I'm so sick of having to replace the heating element and fuses.

I bought a gas dryer three years ago (#DV0J3000EW/A2-00). The motor just went out and it will cost at least half the price I paid for it new. What a hassle! No dryer for a family of five for weeks. Yippee, I get to go outside and hang clothes in 95 degree weather with sky-high humidity! I didn't even live like this in college.
