It's not a soft fiber.
I purchased several of these. I like the wide array of size and border color. The primary color of the mat was a nice match for my wood floor. The border trim is nice to highlight or not depending on where its used.

Beautiful blend of colors that match our room perfectly. Using under a dining table. Vacuums easily and spot cleans really well also. The plain colored band around the edges adds a nice contrast and defines the space.

I am using this rug in our dining room. It looks very nice. It’s a little scratchy, but I’m happy with it. The price was great.

It’s not as good as I thought it would be.
It’s not as good as it looked on line. I did not realize it had stitching on top of the border part. It looks cheap with the stitching but I will replace it at some point so I will keep it for now.
