Pretty but....
Rug is really nice looking on the floor, but feels like you’re walking on pine cones. Hurts your feet. Certainly can’t go barefoot.

great natural rug
minimal shedding, def slightly rough on the bare feet but not a risk for splinter (i hope). the base of the carpet is already lined w felt and has small rubber pads so it does not slid. no need to get a rug pad. great on my new hard wood floor!

Nice, but not for us
I ordered the natural fiber montauk 9x12 for our living room and the runner for our mud room. The rug is very rough, and my husband described it perfectly, "it feels like I am walking on rope." Lay a couple of 2 inch ropes side-by-side and walk across them, that is this rug. I double checked to make sure I didn't order an outdoor rug, and nope! This is an indoor rug. We returned the 9x12 but kept the runner for the mud room because it is perfect in that setting. It also doesn't seem as "rough." ...
