Too much power. Best ergonomic saw ever!
I’ve been a professional carpenter since the late 1970’s. My uncle owned a tool rental store, and I helped my cousin rebuild worn out tools. I’ve been a fan of the best circular saws. I own Festool, and it’s not so much about cost for me. This Sidewinder is my favorite all time. It’s ergonomics are just spot on. Sits low. Great sight line to see blade. Love the all magnesium construction. My wishes: less powerful motor, or even better, variable speed. It’s too much power to use safely...

Alignment issue.
The edge of the foot is not parallel to the blade. It’s off by 1/8 inch.

great tool
I love the saw my only suggestion would be the addition of a led light to shine on the cut. I am residential contractor with over thirty years experience and having a lighted cut line not only makes for a more accurate cut but adds to the overall safe operation of the tool. I specifically seek out tools the have a led light integrated into the tool. thanks

I’ve had a lot of other saws and decided to try the SkilSaw! Was not disappointed at all! I’m actually upset that I didn’t buy a SkilSaw sooner! This saw is the smoothest and without bogging down it sails through boards with ease! Light weight and easily manipulated to make several cuts without delay! Absolutely best and lightest saw I’ve owned!

Solid feeling and capable saw
I came from 15+ years of DeWalt circular saws and Makita before that time. I went with this saw because of how the shoe is attached to the saw. It is attached to the metal Blade guard, where as most other saws (including my previous saw) attach to a plastic extension from the motor housing. This design makes the saw noticeably more solid and produces more accurate and confident cuts. The best sidewinder saw that I have owned/used.

Excellent buy!!!
I really like the feel of this saw. Ergonomically designed and felt comfortable while working tool. (In the hand and lightweight to the feel) I usually like to purchase and use tools with the features of the brake stop.... Increases productivity while also increases the safety factor. Safety never takes a day off!! Cuts smooth and recommended for not only the rough finish carpenter, but as the finish/trim work as well.
