Got one good cut from the lawnmower and now we cannot get it started at all. Only had it for maybe a year and got to use it once. Levers are all extended in good shape batteries are brand new and charged but still cannot get it to go...waste of money...thought going electric would be more efficient but now we've wasted our money for a mower thats brand new and we only got to use the product one time

Cheap Arm clips
Performance is good, but the rail clips are very flimsy and broke off almost immediately. Now the handle won't stay extended and unless the handle is extended, it won't cut.

BATTERY FAILS
I've had this mower for 2 years and 1 month. Just went to charge the battery for the first mow of the season, and it won't charge. The relay just clicks and the lights flash red indicating the battery is defective. I called Skil and they said the warranty for the battery expired last month. Terrific! Convenient how that happens. I stored the battery properly, so I know this isn't a user error. Would buy another one but it's more than half the price of the mower itself. Horrible.

I purchased this in 2023. In late 2024 there was a recall on a lot of these batteries due to fire hazards and I received recall notice too, but when I took it in to Lowes they told me mine wasn't part of recall. Now in 2026, my battery smells like smoke and burnt plastic when being charged and it doesnt even charge at all now. Lowe's and manufacturer not trying at all to make this right or help in any way. Even though,, I have purchased several of their products after the lawn mower and battery ...

Buy the warranty!
So, I bought my mower about a year ago now, it worked great for my yard. It takes me about 25 minutes to mow, and that will take about a quarter of the battery. I do go slow with it though. Super lightweight, not hard to push at all, however, I highly recommend buying the warranty. There is a defect in the handle part, where you open the tabs to extend the bars and then close the tabs. After a year of pushing and pulling when mowing, the bar seems to have pulled out a bit and now when I snap it ...

Just stopped working
This lawnmower worked well for a few months then stopped starting. One day I step outside to cut the grass and nothing works. Battery is fully charged but somewhere there is a loose connection. Made sure everything is extended on the lawnmower, no dice. Was good for 8 months and now just taking up space.
