Rinnai has a great water heater and they claim that it runs with an phone app . If the app did what they claim it does, it would be a great system. But the app is the worst I have ever seen and although the claim they are fixing it; they have not done so for over a year. I can only guess they have no intention of doing so. If they can't fix it within a year, they can't or won't fix it. Without a working app it is very hard to get hot water. DO NOT BUY!

Water heater System is great, remote access system
I've had these tankless systems in my last 3 houses. I continue to use them for a reason. But on the last install I used the recirculating system for faster hot water. Does it work? yes. I have it programmed for the mornings and evenings when most showers are taken. The issue is the remote access using the app and phone. If you don't open up the app in a certain amount of time it forgets all the information and you have to reprogram. This has happened so many times I simply don't mess with it a...

Water Heater with a problem
This is a great water heater with a big problem. The water heater works well but the app that runs the water heater has never worked. I have been promised month after month that it will be fix soon but for 4 years nothing has been done. Rinnai's service techs are very understanding and try to help but the truth is the company just has not put any effort forward to solve the problem. So, until the app is fixed I can only say DO NOT BUY

Not happy with Rinnai
This unit comes with a remote bluetooth module. Its more of an afterthought. It fails regularly and I would not recommend Rinnai to anyone. Nor will I buy any of their products again.

Rinnai Hotwater Heater Review
I have had it for a year. It came installed in my new home. So far it works well, it’s nice to have the remotes, but even better to have the APP installed in the phone. Just a press when you get up in the morning and the water is hot for as long as you use it. The only issue would be if the city has a Natural Gas distribution problem.
