We brought this pocket door frame over the weekend, installed it thinking it would have options like their competitors. This manufacture does not offer soft close hardware. I would have bought Johnson Hardware pocket door frame if I knew what I know now. My bad. They have a large selection of hardware for their pocket doors. Needless to say, we are not going to tear out the pocket door frame and are now stuck with the limitations of this manufacture, Jeld-Wen. Also, Lowes could not provide...

This product is garbage.

Out of 5 to choose from, the side board on 4 of them were so warped that they were unuable. The top piece on the one I selected had a 15 degree twist in it. I was able to find a decent top, but it had issues too. The frame is stapled together apparently before the wood is dry, and then warps as it dries. I had to remove one of the boards, use screws to replace the staples. Had I not needed it for a project tomorrow, I would have left it at the store. Reliabilt quality on this product is awful. W...

Measure before leaving the store

The lumber they used to put it together was warped in making the middle smaller then it was supposed to be. The door rubbed on the inside. Had to go out and buy new wood tear out the wood it was built with and replace it all. Already had it installed that’s why I did not return it. Over all it’s poor quality and I would not get this again. For the price it should of had quality to it.

Poorly made

This worked great for 3 years until all 4 screws holding the track within the wall fell out. The screws were about 3/4" long. The only way to fix it without cutting out the drywall was to order a 3 foot drill bit extension so that I could reach the screw holes. If you're going to buy this I would recommend replacing the screws with longer/sturdier screws before you install.

A Little common sense would help

A Little common sense in manufacturing would be good. They stapled the H out of the packaging which is only a piece of cardboard. The also stapled the hardware pack and instruction into the framing so that the instructions could not be removed without ripping the frame apart.

Hardware Theft from Sealed Box

Though box appeared sealed all hardware and instructions were missing. Likely someone removed them from box. If hardware can be that easily removed from a sealed box— it is not a good product. We will attempt to get replacement parts from Loews where we purchased.

No roller accessories included?!

I bought this pocket door from Lowe's and my contractor installed it. Later on we realized..no roller for this was included. How can a pocket door frame exist without the roller, a critical accessory

Cost

The pocket door frame was the perfect price and packaged perfect. Lowes helped me pick the size and their wonderful staff gave a hand putting the item in my truck. The price was so good that I bought 2 more for other parts of the house
