Purdy White Bristle Sprig 2-in Reusable Natural Bristle Flat Paint Brush (Trim Brush)

FInally a decent brush for low VOC poly.

I don't know how many years it's been, but finally someone makes a decent brush for low VOC poly. This new version isn't 100% china, it's a blend. It's stiffer and denser than 100% white china. It's WORLDS better than white china or the weird treated ones they were making for a while for modern <450 VOC polys. Much easier to move the product around and the denseness seems to keep bubbles from forming. Definitely recommend the thicker ferrule versions for this application.

2.5 inch White Bristle

While using this paint bush it kept leaving bristles everywhere on the table i was painting causing me to go over areas twice after removing the bristle. I prepped the paint brush before using and took all the loose bristles. I don’t know why it kept loosing bristles and leaving them all over. I was not being rough with the paint brush while painting. Bristles fell out and left terrible brush marks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought to put coating on butcher block counter. It left bristles all through the finish and left brush marks. I've used disposable dollar brushes that had better quality

Very disappointed!!!!

I bought these brushes to use with some stain as recommend by the pamphlet in the store, and on-line reading. Junk!!!! Don't buy. The bristles fall out very easily after just a few minutes of use. Then you spend too much time picking out bristles and then redoing the staining. AVOID!!!

Soft, but not soft enough

I needed to polyurethane some new woodwork and was able to do it successfully, but this brush seemed to be a bit stiffer than I was expecting. I had another brush I had purshed specifically for applying varnish but wasn’t able to locate it, so this was a substature. The brush I had used before was much softer and had thinner bristles as well. Otherwise, got the job done.

Good brush but not great

I had problems with the paint brush bristles coming out and being white they are very hard to see. I was using it to lay down polyurethane and I did not want anything in it. I would not purchase this brush again for this application. I will use it for priming my wood fence with oil base paint.

If you want your walls/rooms to look professional use this brush. If you value your time spent painting use the best brush available. It holds most paint, does not drip, and paints perfect ceiling or vertical lines... Easy to wash...then shake dry AND ROLL up in newspaper and keep in open room to continue drying! This will keep bristles in line/shaped correctly. I hope you Never stop making my favorite paintbrush. I would love to get the same thing in short handle too! I have even been using it ...

Purdy Paintbrush

I have been using this brush to refinish my entire kitchen cabinets. All I can say that it worked just fine and still in great shape. I did about 25 doors of different sizes and about 10 drawers plus some side panels. A big job and all came up excellent. Highly Recommended.

Great brush for the price

I used this brush to apply 4 coats of oil based spar urethane to a picnic table that would be used outdoors. I was looking for a nice thick natural bristle brush. This was the thickest one I could find and the results came out great.

I’d give it less but not possible

Bought this brush because I was doing very fine finish work, which according to this company’s website, is the best. Worst decision. Bristles fall off on to the finish constantly. Don’t bother. Save $10 and buy the blue hawk brand.
