You could easily purchase a less expensive putty knife. I'm hoping this one will last longer than most. Based on the flexibility, of the steel and the grip on the handle it seems to be a superior construction.

I bought five of these putty knives 4 3 2 1.5 and 1 inches expecting them to last me forever but a few years after I had them they started rusting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purdy putty knives tend to cost a premium, but they are worth it and last for a very long time if cared for. Stainless steel blade, comfortable and grippy handle, metal bottom for hammering, and an eyelet for hanging. What else could you expect?
