Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
This basic, inexpensive paint brush may work well for small, temporary jobs, but has quality issues that make it less suitable for more serious painting projects. While some found it "great for the small jobs" and "perfect if you need an inexpensive brush", many complained about the bristles falling out or being uneven. The consensus is that it's an okay option if you need something cheap and disposable, but spending more for a higher quality brush is recommended.

Recently, my husband had a workshop delivered, and it came with the engineered wood siding on the inside, as well. The surface is heavily rippled to mimic wood grain. It's great stuff, but it's one of the toughest painting jobs in the world. He asked me to take on the task. He wanted the trim in a different color against a white ceiling to bring in more light and provide definition to the space. The siding came in one color for the interior, a dark almond that is a bear to cover in any case. So...
Better brushes can be had for less
I bought a pair of these to try them out on a fairly demanding task, painting the underside & slot behind courses of cedar shingle siding with a primer coat. I'd been using a nicer (and thicker) 1" bristle brush that gave up the ghost after 2 to 3 days and a couple of trims to remove twisted bristles and dried primer. I anticipated these being thinner and as a result, easier to use for the task than the previous brush, which they were. I also expected these to be disposable, and that's exactly ...
This was a good solution for small paint jobs.
I needed a small brush for a small paint job. This one fit the bill and was very inexpensive so I could discard it when the job was done. The brush worked well and was just what was needed at a reasonable price. Next time I will purchase several to have on hand when needed for small jobs. I have no complaints about this product. I would recommend it to anyone needing a brush for small odd painting jobs.
Handy and disposable!
I see that people are complaining about the quality of these brushes. They are cheap brushes! I expect to use them and not have to clean them...toss after 1 use. That's what I want. If you want something to last, pay more. I do see some bristles come out, but that happens with the expensive brushes that I have...even on their first use. I will continue to buy these throw-away brushes. The expensive ones, I will use on areas that are on display, like kitchen cabinets...maybe. Honestly, t...
It's Called a Chip Brush and Cheap!
I liked that it was literally a one-and-done product, for a specialized graphite paint for under mower decks. The paint was oil-based and certainly not worth trying to clean a brush for 3 mower decks. I wouldn't use it for fine wood working!
worked perfect I used it to paint my closet
worked perfect I used it to paint my closet closet. made closet look great with minima effort. I simple used it to cut into drywall and about 10 minutes. it is made of wood and is very durable. I would defiantly buy again. I also notice it came in different sizes
Cheap
Not a high quality brush. I needed something to get some paint back in a groove and didn't want to ruin an expensive brush doing it. It worked.
Spend a little more for quality
Unless you're buying this just to give your toddler to paint a blank canvas, please don't bother. I found better quality brushes at the Dollar Tree, seriously. The bristles are rough and fall out while painting.
Small chip brush
Bristles fall out easily and it does not create a crisp edge. It is a cheap bush, so if you just need to do a random touch up, go for it. Otherwise, spend the extra on a nice brush.
If you don’t want to clean brushes
Cheap and therefore disposable. I used it to put an oil-based varnish stain on a piece of furniture, but didn’t want to use a solvent to clean it and then try to find a way of disposing of the solvent responsibly. A $1 brush I could put in the garbage seemed the best solution!
