Solid lighting choice
First of all, if you’re only looking at this lantern online, it is way bigger than the pictures make it look. Installation was pretty standard. I really like the look and the light bulb itself is hidden from view so it’s really good at adding light without getting straight in your eyes.

Beautiful Antique Outdoor Lighting
I received my new outdoor light fixture today and it is gorgeous. Its bigger then I expected and replaces my smaller unit perfectly. The wiring was a simple 3 connections and they even provide ground screw/ connectors. The unit is lightweight but durable. I installed this in Florida and due to its cut out format I am confident the hurricane winds can pass right through it. We needed to replace/upgrade our porch light and were looking for something that was well-built, rustic, yet simple. Two first impressions: 1) I will say, this light was larger than I expected. If you have a standard 80” entry door, this thing may look a bit large comparatively. Attractive and Well Made Outdoor Wall Light
I was very happy with this light as soon as I picked it up. This fixture has some weight to it. It is made with what seems like a heaver gauge metal than most. The Instructions and included hardware are all there if you have no experience installing light fixtures. Be aware that the mounting area is fairly large and may not all sit flat to the wall if you have small sized siding. If the electrical box is not in the correct place to fit this light it would have a gap and may not sit flat and flus...
Easy install
Box was well packed the instructions are clear and everything went up smoothly. It projects the light mostly down so it’s not blinding if it’s close to the door like it was for me. Not having the glass makes it easier to clean out bugs. Fits one bulb and it doesn’t stick out of the upper part. Metal it not super heavy duty but plenty sturdy for the job.
Classic design
This classically designed lantern was a nice upgrade to our 'industrial' look patio light. The lantern itself has a nice weight and was easy to install. The installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. All the necessary hardware was included, and the wall plate made it easy to adjust for the thickness of our stucco wall. It casts a nice glow from the single bulb and the best feature is that there is not a 'bug catcher' glass enclosure!
Terrific Accent Light
Love this light fixture, if you’re looking for an accent light this is the one, It doesn’t project light outward as the bulb is up inside of the fixture but it does illuminate the area below the light fixture. Installation is relatively easy. Be sure to turn off your breaker for safety before you begin. Only issue with this light is now we may have to buy 3 more to go with this one (my wife loves it!).
Stunning Fixture Design
This is a really beautifully designed light fixture. I like that the bulb is hidden from view but does not hamper the quality of the light output. Simple installation is another factor I appreciate, although the electrician that installed my box originally used a switch box instead of a lamp box. Minor modifications of the supplied hardware solved the problem. Looks great at night!
Large fixture
This review is for the Progress Lighting Birkdale 1-Light 23.25-in Textured Black Dark Sky Outdoor Wall Light. Very lightweight fixture, the metal is very thin, that would be good for a protected area (porch, covered entrance, etc.). The design would fit various styles but lends itself to a more rustic or farmhouse décor.
