I have had much success with mine for at least 5 or 6 years. I replace the batteries every 5 weeks. My problem now is I need a replacement solenoid so the fireplace remote will continue to turn it on and off. Tapping on the solenoid to start it is not an option. Otherwise this fireplace has done a wonderful job keeping our 200+ sq ft basement toasty and warm.
Batteries need replacement often
I've have issues with batteries in the receiver needing replacement every 2 weeks. Tried expensive lithium batteries that last a little longer. Is there a solution, please help.

We bought our fireplace over 15 years ago. With proper maintenance it lasted this long. My ignitor went out and needed new logs so I will definitely buy another one.

I hate writing these kinds of reviews but DO NOT purchase this fireplace. I hoped it would work out, but the first one was defective - I paid gas co. $100 to hook it up and it wouldn’t work - had to return to Lowes and pick up another fireplace and pay the co a 2nd time to hook-up. I wanted this assembled & my new gas line hooked up. Then I wanted it lite to see how it works. But Lowes doesn't do that. They use a different company to deliver it & if you want they can send someone down to assembly it at a cost. After you spend $1000.00 plus that should have been free. It took us several weeks to get it lite where you don't have to use the box for the remote. When using that we went through a lot of batteries.
