Incorrectly Designed

The "airwash downdraft" does not work as designed. Once the door is fully closed, the fire will die down and eventually go out. You have to leave the door cracked to allow enough air to feed the fire.

Great Stove

I've had this stove for four years and it is wonderful. No complaints, I've had it very hot, and yes you must use seasoned wood, and have a good chimney. I believe some do not know or have experience with fire to understand how all the variables work when creating a good wood stove fire. Its a little guy, but tough and does the job. Just make sure you use good, dry wood, and get it heated up first.

Quality control called in sick today

First right out of the box I noticed it was not level one leg shorter than the rest.I thought it might be the garage floor but when installed it was still short.Two pennies under the rear leg fixed it!!!The stove itself is a big problem keeping a flame lit.There is only a small 3 cu.in port for breathing!I eventually had to install an extra fresh air port to get this stove to breath.The lever located on the bottom of stove is apparently for decorative purposes only it does absolutely nothing.Whe...

Awesome little stove

Great little stove at a good price as well. It heats up our 600sqft cabin very easily and fast. Bring a buddy to help load/unload, its a small stove but still pretty heavy!!

woodstove

I love this stove, however make sure logs are smaller, opening is rectangle so not all logs fit good. I have a 1000sq ft house and heats great. Also need to leave door cracked very slightly in beginning

Great stove for the price!

See a lot of complaints of people having trouble. First the wood must be dry! Second you can NOT fully close the door on any HE wood stove or it will die. The chimney must be very hot to start convection. This took me about 20min with this stove. After that it performed with the door closed flawlessly. Dry wood and patients is what all these folks are missing. Sucks to see all the poor reviews on a great stove.

Works great

I've read alot of complaints about having to leave the door cracked to keep fire going and made me a bit worried but after installing this it works perfect. Took a bit of messing with to figure out the best way to get lit. Figured out you got to leave the door open while getting it going or it can go out. I have seen all the comments on this stove and I need to point out that I have used woodstoves since a kid. If you are expecting your father's (or grandfather's) woodstove, you need to adjust your expectations. This stove is not designed for maximum heat but rather for efficiency. Love this stove but...

We bought this stove in December 2018. It was pretty easy to install. We have used it about 5 or 6 times. Now there is a soot build up on the class. Please tell me how to get it clean and how to prevent it from happening again. I could not give it 5 stars due to not being able to watch the fire burn. Peg
