Pine Mountain's Creosote Buster Fire Log is built to make chimney maintenance part of the fire itself. It contains a specially formulated powder that, once heated, converts into a penetrating gas that works to break down and remove dangerous creosote buildup in your chimney, one of the most common causes of chimney fires. Simply add a Creosote Buster Fire Log to an existing fire, every 40 fires you burn. It's an easy way to help protect your fireplace and chimney while you enjoy the fire you're already having, all season long. Approved by the Chimney Institute of America for chimney safety, it's a dependable addition to a regular fireplace routine, whether you use your fireplace often or just a few times a season. Keep a box on hand, and chimney maintenance becomes one less thing to think about.

What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this fire log for effectively breaking down creosote and improving chimney airflow, with many noting visible smoke reduction and better fireplace performance. Reviewers consistently highlight its ease of use—simply place it on an existing fire with no special preparation needed. The log burns cleanly for around 40 minutes with minimal residue, no strong odors, and a natural formulation that provides peace of mind about chimney safety. Most customers use it confidently between professional cleanings. A few report ignition difficulties or sizing concerns, but these are vastly outweighed by positive feedback. Amazing smell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This log filled my entire house up with a beautiful aroma nobody could believe! After burning, my chimney was truly so much cleaner. I was able to wipe my window off afterwards, looking into my fireplace, it wiped off with ease and looked 1 million times better!

A+!! Does a great job!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as a sample in exchange for my honest review. I used this product at the end of our fire burning season to clean my chimney and have it ready for the fall. It was a good size log and there were no issues whatsoever. For the price of the log, it’s an excellent value. I plan to purchase these legs periodically as part of my routine maintenance this fall/winter.

Burns fine, didn't smoke

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It burned fine, I have used other brands of these type of logs and can't say one is any better than the other . There was very minimal smoke and hopefully it did the job.

Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this log for free from Influenster. This is an interesting product. It’s a bit hard to light at first, but once it’s going it burns for a good while. Packaging is sleek. Material is interesting and kind of has a weird smell at first. Overall good product. This is also supposed to help clean your chimney; I have yet to assess the efficacy of that, but I’m interested to see how well it did that.

burns well

Lit very quickly in fire, and burned very hot and long. Assume it did the job, although no apparent creosote in ash after.

Smells great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been too hot in Louisiana to burn this in our fireplace. It smells amazing and I can't wait until its cold enough again to burn them in our fireplace. I was so thankful to have received this product
